I'm just curious. How many of you wash your makeup brushes?? If you do, what do you wash them with and how often do you wash them?? How do you set them to dry?? I've been told several different things so I just wanted to see your opinion on it.

I wash them as often as I like.
I usually use regular soap and press it flat against my palm and swirl. I leave it running under the water too. I do this about twice. Then I put conditioner on them and they'll be as soft as brand new. I lay them flat on a towel to dry.

It depends. I spot clean my brushes. there's a diy brush cleaner (search it up on google) and it cleans okay but when I'm feeling like they need an extra cleaning I pour a 50:50 amount of olive oil and clear shampoo (baby shampoo is good). swirl my brushes in them the wash them with tap warm water. dry them to the downwards if you have brush guards. if not dry them on their sides. NEVER UPWARDS OR YOU WILL RUIN YOUR BRUSHES.

I use dawn dish soap. Dribble it in the brush after I ran them under the water then swirl them on the palm of my hand and rinse, repeat till water is clear of makeup. I do this atleast every 3-4 weeks. But for my foundation brush I do it at least every 1-2 weeks

I use my mac brush cleaner about every second day and splatter it on some paper towels, rubbing my brushes gently on them and leaving them to air dry. But about once a month I use a cheap shampoo (I got told this by mac) and scrub them with that, being careful not to wet underneath the metal of the brushes. Use a cheap soap because it has less of all the fancy stuff that'll ruin your brushes! Hope this helps. :)

I wash my with baby shampoo every 1-2 weeks and spot clean in between. And I wash my powder brush and foundation brush every week since I use them everyday. I've been told use oil but it left my brushes feeling oily and I have oily skin so I stopped. Thanks everyone!

I also use shampoo to clean my brushes. I clean them 2 a month on wknds as I rarely wear makeup on wknds. I let em soak overnight in water w shampoo then rinse and apply a touch of hair conditioner. keep em upside down to dry. its comes out very clean and very soft.
