Bb cream is extremely popular nowadays for some reason. what does it do exactly? does it replace any makeup product? I've obviously never use it or personally know anyone that does.

It's basically a light foundation.

Bb creams just makes your skin even it's lighters then a foundation highly recommend because it gives a little coverage yet it doesn't make you feel like your wearing a ton of makeup.

Apart from covering redness etc.it also helps the skin get much healthier,so it is not just a tinted moisturiser.and I'm talking about the original bb creams from S.Korea. so if you want to get one, definitely get a korean one!!

I use Garnier BB cream for oily/combo skin and I love it. Its a step above a tinted moisturizer, in my opinion, and its much faster for me to use in the morning as opposed to traditional foundation. I just apply my serum, apply bb cream and I'm set. Everyone raves about the original bb creams but not all beauties can wear them because of the limited shade selection. So if you fall in the latter spectrum then a Western bb cream will be best suited but if you are fair to medium then definitely check out the one's available from overseas.

Shelley you don't use a moisturizer under yours? I was wondering would that make a difference. I'm off today so I'm going to try it like that while I'm out and about.

@Sevetria...one day I forgot to put on moisturizer first and just applied my serum. Wow! is all I can say. Before I had to blot once a day...now I don't have to blot at all. And I notice a slight decrease in oil production as well.

My skin isn't any better from using a bb cream. It's the same. It's just a light foundation if you ask me.

Hey girls! Don't buy the loreal bb cream in my opinion it's not worth it because it's too dark and sort of orange. Anyway I'm using it to create darker colours but I'd not recommend it!

BB creams are meant to even out your skin tone. They are not meant to cover. If you have oily skin, stay away. I personally am not a fan. I feel they are over-hyped tinted moisturizers with a fancy new name.

I have oily skin and haven't had any issues. Overhyped...I don't care because they have performed great for me and my skin is picky.
