So you all match eyeshadow to your clothes ( eg. purple top means purple eyeshadow ) or to your eye color?

I don't match it too my my eyes are brown and I normally do neutral looks so I guess my eyes but I normally try to complement my eyes.

Matching eye shadow to your clothes sometimes make you look like you don't know what your doing lol you a neutral eye with a splash of the purple on your top would show a bit more experience on your part!

I personally wear what ever color I feel like wearing that day regardless of what color my shirt is.

Eyes not clothes... I usually do natural colors though like brown and close to my skin color, or this one green that goes with my eyes, so I don't know I'm no expert.

I use warm browns/ bronze mattes or metallics depending on my clothing style because my undertone is neutral / warm leaning and my eyes are blue.

You could always do a neutral look with a color on the lower lash line.

Sometimes! Some outfits I think look great with a matching eye, but if you're matching the color it shouldn't be too overpowering, it should just be subtle! Ex. A red blouse I'd wear a light champagne on the lid, blend a red into the crease and soften it with a brown!

I use a lot of maybelline color tattoo and to me it don't blend, I like bright colors, my skin tone is medium-deep (nc45 in mac if that helps ) and dark brown eyes...and I match to my clothes as I always thought you're supposed to?

Oh if I wear red I always wear neutral eyeshadow, and all of you makes sense! esp with color on the crease

You can match if you want as long as the matching color doesn't overpower the eye

I'm NC45 as well, and I switch it up based on the occasion. I typically wear a neutral with a splash of color if I want it to stand out. :) Blending is the most important, matching your eyes can get boring since there are only so many options with that. Where as you can really spice up a outfit with the perfect blended eye.
Good luck love.

I do no such thing. I wear whatever comes to mind and put no thought in decision making when it comes to my clothes.

You can match your eye makeup to your clothes and still make it look nice and fashionable. its all about blending and not going overboard. I do it all the time and get compliments.
