Hello there, I'm thinking of setting up a beauty blog and I was wondering if you could provide me with some help. I was wondering what interface would be best? I've seen that blogspot is the commonly used one by beauty bloggers! Also:
1. what things do you like to see on a beauty blog?
2. do you prefer tutorials or reviews or a mixture of both?
3. what makes the blog 'off-putting'?
4. do's and don'ts?
5. anything else?
thankyou! :) xxxxxxxx

Hi! I personally prefer Wordpress but more people use Blogspot, so that might be a thing to consider in terms of interaction with other bloggers.
1. So in a beauty blog, I like to see creative, original photos and unique looks.
2. I like to see a mixture of both :)
3. I think distracting colours/design makes it "off-putting". Simple designs are best and should be the focus. I also like a uniformed design i.e. consistent fonts and font sizes (I'm a visual freak :P)
Hope this helped! Shoot me with any other questions if you like.

I use Blogger and I love it!
1. Reviews, swatches (not taken from another site), helpful tips.
2. I like a mix of both!
3. It might just be because I notice things like this, but bad grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. drives me NUTS. It's hard to take a blog seriously when they have major grammar issues. The occasional typo is obviously fine haha.
4. DO network! Link your blog wherever it is appropriate and comment on other people's blogs. but DON'T just go to a bunch of people's blogs and write a comment like "nice" and then leave a link. If you show that you actually took the time to read what the blogger posted, they will be more inclined to come over to your blog and read what you have to say and give feedback.
Good luck with your blog! :)
