I have to agree with everyone here, you are exceptionally gorgeous with simple and over the top looks! Your talent is outrageous! sometimes one exceeds the point where people can honestly give criticism. Look to the makeup artists you admire and expand from there. You are beautiful and amazing 😍

I love all your looks! Maybe a light pink lip or any light lip color to balance out the dark shadows!

Wow you are so crazy talented. I would like to see some looks with some wearable brighter but yet lighter colors. How about some corals or peaches?

I would really love to give you some constructive criticises. but you really do just look beautiful! All I would say is lighter make up to let your natural beauty shine :)

Thank you everyone :) and Jacqueline what a lovely comment, I was expecting with your expertise that you might pick on something more drastic that I hadn't noticed I was doing, but the fact that my tear duct highlight is a bit excessive is a fantastically minor thing for me to have to worry about haha. I actually annoy myself when I do it because I KNOW that I'm taking it too far but I get obsessed with how shiny it is haha. Also my eye shape is really odd... Whereas most people's crease stops before the inner corner, mine kind of curls around it so that my inner corner of my eye is kind of in a little... Cave? So I can't do the highlight as high up as I'd like because it highlights the little fold of skin and looks strange... So I end up doing it too low to try and get the same 'pop' that I see on others. I'll try bringing it back a bit though and using plenty of jumbo pencil under it so that it still looks as bright :).

I love that you said I'm an artist who does makeup very well. That's a lovely description. Reminds me of the way Alex Box describes herself as an 'artist who uses makeup'. You're right though. I've experimented with loads of different artistic hobbies and makeup actually has been quite a recent thing. Well... It hasn't, I always did very elaborate makeup and loved experimenting with it, I just never thought of it as something I was talented with. I thought everyone could do it and that I just wore more than them. Then I saw preen.me and was like... Heeeeyyy, I can do better makeup than some of these! Lol.

Here's what I was doing before makeup took over...

Casey, why did you post that? It's lovely and everything, just was wondering the relevance lol

Again, thank you so much... Now if you know anything about the ticket to fame and fortune I'd like a slice of that cake of knowledge as well! Haha :)

Just clean that part up a bit with concealer.
like Jacqueline said. there is nothing to critic about your technique its such a small thing.
I felt it was a bit much but it did cause the pic to pop so its nothing wrong with it.. n no real Problem. its kind of a decision of personality..

I'd like to comend you on your art work. you're very talented. its funny because as I was going thru the day I thought back about your post n your pics (hence, I checked for what had Been added since I posted earlier). I just wanted to tell you. art is such a funny thing. you can take classes n ask ppl to give you critiques and pointers, advice, and insight, but it really comes down to what you're born with. at the end of the day, only YOU can challenging YOU. art is all about what you we're born to express.you could b the landmark to something totally new. just keep doing what you're doing and continue to challenge yourself..

its so amazing that Jacqueline could peg you as an artist that happens to do makeup. I only started using this chat last wk and there are really some talented and insightful ladies on here. I'm very pleased with the group this site attracts. keep doing your thing n keep challenging yourself. take inspiration from everywhere, grow grow grow. you're an awesome talent.

The weird thing is I have no idea about the way the muscles are... I just keep trying until it 'looks right' lol. I haven't tried that, no. I don't think I'd be very interested in actually tattooing people, just the designing. But really I just want to do makeup. Desperately want to do makeup. If I wasn't in a fairly small city in the uk I might have more people interested in having their makeup done by now. Not that freelancing and doing 'regular' makeup my ultimate ambition but it would at least be a start. They're all digital paintings done with a tablet. Hey there's something else I need to show you hahaha... Check this out from when I was 14. Now if there's not much to critique now, there DEFINITELY was back then! Seems as though I maybe managed to figure it out for myself in the end though :')

I'm of no help. I always look to your photos to inspire me. I feel like its hard for me to find makeup that works well with my complection and you always hit it out of the park. <3.

I love everything about each picture! And I'm with Anupa on this, I'd like to know the lipstick in your 3rd picture. And 4th!

I LOVE your eyes in the 3rd and 4th picture!! Your blending is stunning :)
It's hard to give criticism because your looks are very artistic and how can I criticize another person's aesthetics? :b
As far as technique it looks like you know what you're doing so keep it up girl!

Those wanting to know what the lipstick in the 3rd pic was... I was trying to recreate a colour I saw on a model and I actually used about 6 different products lol (Rimmel eyebrow pencil in black, LA Colors lip liner in smooth plum, Revlon lipstick in Va Va Violet, Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107, a gloss from one of the MUA trios and a random red gloss that was laying around) but the model was wearing Dior lip liner in mysterious plum and their Black Tied lipstick. Here's the original pic next to mine.

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments :)

Brittany P I actually only have half an eyebrow on each eye because I pluck the tails out completely for more freedom and the bit that I DO have is very sparse from butchering them for so long so there's no reason why you can't have my brows seeing as they're pretty much made of Rimmel eyebrow pencil in hazel haha. I did a YouTube tutorial on how I do them which is also in my videos section on here or my channel is KimpantsMakeup.

Mookey B, the one thing I won't do (unless I randomly feel like it, but it's not very often) is wear less makeup. That's just a personal preference, I don't feel as comfortable with less on and I love heavy makeup. I know it's not to everyone's taste :)

And Caitlyn, in the 4th pic is LA Colors red lip liner with Kate Moss 107 lipstick and a clear gloss over the top

I wish I had an ounce of the talent that you have! Your application is flawless, and it doesn't hurt that you're stunning! :)
