Y do people hate the emo scene style? :-(

Because its different and people who are different aren't "normal". Society is bs.

Also because people overdo it and only chose the style for the attention it can bring not because they actually like it. Example:

I'm not sure. Everybody wants to be normal, the same as everybody else just like a robot. -.-

Emo style can be cute if you put a feminine twist on it. you can be dark and daring but don't overdue it

I don't care for it simply because I don't find it attractive. Just my opinion; however to each their own. I'm sure many people don't find my styles attractive.

Bc its not a new style. Its a rip off of punk or goth.

I feel like I need to add a picture of how it can be good too to show both sides. My bangs are actually inspired by the scene look.

Scene is more colorful, emo is more dark. I freaking hate saying emo and stuff along those lines. I was totally a little scene punk kid :))

@Alma goth is more of a culture than a style. Goths tend to wear looser buggier clothes than emos. Emos are very close to scene but without the bright colors. Ill add a picture in a minute

Goth is a subculture mainly about music and dressing in a very detailed, spooky yet elegant and fashionable manner. Corsets, Victorian era clothing all the way to fishnets and leather skirts with bondage belts.
Emo is almost as old as goth, but is has changed it's representation a lot. Orignalt, it was sweater vests, ties, glasses, an classic hair. Roundabout '07 it became teased hair with deep side parts, skinny jeans and heavy eye makeup. These days it's mostly blended with scene, but when I was younger emo was black hair and more monochromatic while scene was the Oz to emo's Kansas.

Courtney I love your style. I love the scene/colorful hair style! As long as the person actually likes it, and isn't trying to be something their not :)

I think no one should judge them they are just people no one is exactly the same know matter how hard you try sorry but that reality.different is the new black;)

I think most emo kids are doing it for attention from society. Like "hey, look at me, I'm different so you'll notice me now"... It's not my style. Seems like a dying fad now. Used to be more popular.

I'm gothic the only flash of colour I have is my hair. There's definitely a significant difference between goth and emo.

Thanks ladies I grew up in the 80's and 90's so I've seen my far share of looks and styles, its just a lot of it seems to be similar to me and not that different just have different names.Like the scene look reminds me of 80s hair bands and Emo reminds me of the cure era Oohh and steam punk mixed in a bottle.

I love it all. :)
I love the classically dark, beautiful goth style and makeup and I love the colorful heavy makeup scene too. :)
Although it's something I can't personally rock, I really admire the look. :)
