Okay so I've had severe acne and now I'm just left with these horrible scars and every single time I apply foundation on it looks flawless and smooth for 30 min then it gets cakey and makes my skin look like it's peeling in a way! Any way I can prevent this? I use the smash box primer with the lock it tattoo foundation applied with a brush! :)

This happened to me. Make sure you moisturize really well because that is your skin peeling away with your skin because of lack of moisture! So moisturize well!

Same problem. I have sensitive combinations skin and am unable to moisturize at all. Wash your face and use a toner before you put on the foundation, and perhaps try a new foundation? Smashbox caked up on me pretty bad when I tried it. Find something with medium coverage that's liquid. I use Almay's Clear Complexion, it actually has small amounts of salicylic acid in it to help heal blemishes all day. :) and use thin layers if foundation, apply it with a stippling brush and let it set for a few minutes before blending.

What I do is I use a liquid foundation and then a light layer if mineral powder foundation. It works well and stays all day.

I don't know if you've ever seen this turorial, but it's probably the best foundation routine for covering up severe acne. Maybe you can get tips from her :)

By scars do you mean indents on your face or "scars" like open pores and hyperpigmentation?
