What do you guys do to stop your breakouts?
I'm usually really clear skinned but just recently my skin has gone Barmy and I'm getting little red bump like spots over my cheek towards my chin. Nightmare! I think my simple cleanser is to delicate but others I've tried are just to harsh and drying. Xc

i just had the same problem this weekend. what i did was i kept my skin cleaned and used a lot of moisturizer. i used cetaphil at first but my skin was so sensitive all i could use was just water and eucerin....it restored the mosisture back in my skin and with in a couple days i was good to go.

I try my best to follow my skincare routine to a T and I NEVER go to sleep with makeup on!!!!! So far, it's worked pretty well and I haven't had any major problems except around my time of the month. I had a pretty bad one on my chin that I ended up popping and it was just a horrible horrible mess! A tip: if you ever pop a zit and it scabs, use some regular old Neosporin on it and treat it as you would a "cut" or "scratch". It clears up pretty quickly. Since Neosporin is pretty vaseline-y in texture, I use it before bed and leave it on while I sleep. Hope this helped!

I'd say that's enough time for your skin to get back to normal.. do you have really dry skin? Combo? Oily? It's important to find the right cleanser for YOUR skin type. Also, too much exfoliation can be a problem too, so make sure you aren't doing that!

Combo skin really. I think the cleanser i was using was too harsh with lots of exfoliating beads i it But the reason i switched to something harsh was because my sinple cleanser was breaking me out. I get discount on clarins where i work so dont no if its worth trying out their products?

I have a friend at work who actually swears by Clarins and says they've kept her looking young! I haven't tried them at all, but hey, you never know.
I used to use cleansers with exfoliating beads in them until I read something interesting that a dermatologist said about the Apricot Scrub which is pretty popular. Apparently, it exfoliates way too much and actually creates microscopic cuts in your skin, making it easier for dirt and oil to get trapped and infect your skin. I immediately stopped and started using something a lot more gentle. I have combo skin as well, so I'm gonna just let you know what I use:
Morning - Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser/Mask (Salacylic Acid kind with rice proteins), CetaphilGentle Skin Cleanser
Night - Burts Bees Cleanser with Olay rotating Brush head, same neutrogena cleanser as before
I LOVE this neutrogena cleanser. It exfoliates, but barely. Definitely not as harsh as others. I hope this helped!

You have helped, thankyou :) I might try out a Clarins cleanser and see how I go. I think I looked at that neutrogena cleanser but with so much choice it's hard to pick! X
