Are you piercing your earlobes?

Do not do it yourself because you can get your ears infected and it hurts a lot more and the holes may not be even. Go to Claire's and get it done.

Yea I'm (trying) to peirce my earlobes. and hope, I can't go to claires, my parents won't let me. its a religious thing...hard to explain.

Well it won't hurt more, especially not if you numb your lobe with an icecube. but it can get infected very easily because everything needs to be sterile, and you have to put gold/silver/surgical steel in. also, I assume that your parents don't care about who pierces you ear, but about the fact that it happens, so you might want to rethink it.

Yeah, probably. haha ill rethink it.

But if you do it anyway, just numb it, and keep it clean and the chance that it gets infected won't be big.

You'll have to get the earlobe cleaner at where ever that pierces ears!! So it won't get infected and heal right.

I've done this more than once on my friends. Here are the steps I recommend you follow:
1. WASH YOUR HANDS! Use sanitizer on your earlobes, the ear rings, and the safety pin.
2. Use a washable marker to draw dots on each earlobe where you want the ear ring. Make sure the dots are even!
3. (Easier to do with a helper!) Have someone grab your earlobe and gently pull the sides away from each other and hold them there- creating a flat, sturdy ear lobe surface. (Sounds weird, but it's much faster and less painful this way.)
3. Hold the safety pin steady, and push it through. The skin breaks in layers, so you may only get it a fraction of the way through and have to push multiple times for each ear. I recommend doing one big push and not stopping until its all the way though.
4. Remove the safety pin and IMMEDIATELY place earrings in. Your ear will probably be bleeding a little bit.
5. Sanitize everything you already sanitized again. Including the earlobes. Be sure to clean your piercing (you can use hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol) for about 2 weeks. And make sure you twist your earrings multiple times a day for the first couple weeks, so the holes don't close up and the skin doesn't attach to the needles.

In my experience, it's easier to have someone do this for you. I've done 3 friends' ears for them, and as long as we sanitized and they cleaned their ears for 2 weeks after, they've turned out great! Good luck! :)

I wouldn't reccomend doing it yourself :)

I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself as something could go wrong and infections may occur and at the shoos eg claires; its done more professionally but the choice is yours 😄

I would also recommend getting it done professionally- that's just my advice if you do it yourself :)

Don't do it. I did it and now I have bad case of squirrelhole (if you dunno what that I google it) its really not worth it just go to some place but get it with a NEEDLE not a gun. If you reeeeeeaaally wanna do it yourself buy a self-piercing kit online from a trusted website.
