I'm very new to makeup.
Skip the long story.
I have blue eyes but I don't exactly know if there's a thing - or how you know when there is "too much blue?"
I know blues and purples for clothing makes my eyes pop - is it the same for eyes?
I am learning the basic techniques - but I get so anxious with colour and I rub it off and go for a more natural look.
Please help me.
If blues are too much, what colours do you recommend for a blue eyed person?
Any help is appreciated.

I think you'd have to us us a picture first "too much blue" could mean anything, what shade of blue are you talking about? is it just an eye lid smeared with blue eye shadow or do you have another color like a base or highlight? as you can see a picture would be helpful :)

I was told in cosmetology school that using blue with blue eyes will create a flat line of color and look dull. Using complementary colors makes your eyes pop most. So you would want to go with orange.

Blue on blue eyes can blank out the eyes, if that makes sense, rather than make them pop. Orange looks really good and also bronze colors. also brown eyeliner, rather than black.

I wasn't saying wear the exact same color as your eyes for example my eyes are kind of light blue so darker blues really look good as would light blue on darker blue eyes it really just depends on what shade you use but I totally agree with Danielle &Anais orange does look great on blue eyes.

I have blue eyes, and for me personally, blue shadows look terrible on me. Browns, bronze, gold any earth tones make my eyes pop. I love wearing purples also, sometimes it makes my eyes pop but more so, purple makes my eyes look bigger and more alert.

I asked this question because blue is one of my favourite colours! If I were to wear blue how would I wear it? I'm really new to this. I don't plan to be a beautican but I would like to make more of an effort in my appearance - if that makes any sense?
I know blue and purples in clothing make my eyes stand out - but I didn't know if it meant the same thing for the eyes.
