Shampoo and condition your hair upside down and massage with your fingertips not your nails! Also use a split remedy shampoo and conditioner and styling products so you don't have to trim hair very often if you take care of the ends!

Try using this hair thing called wen. I'm not sure if you've heard of it but its a really natural way to wash your hair. I use it every other day and its made my hair so healthy feeling and looking and has helped me grow it out without getting hair trims.
