Are gel nails healthier than getting acrylics or does it do the same damage? I've been interested in getting gel nails but I don't want to damage my nails :/ any tips?

Ask the person who is doing your nails people are now starting to use shellac instead of acrylic. Gel and acrylic are very different gel won't damage but! Remember to remove it right!

Idk... You should probably ask a person who does nails at a salon... They would know and you'll get more exact info from them then from us here on a website.

I'm a nail tech and I think I can answer your questions. there's tons of different gel products out there, some are harsher and harder to remove than others. these products do not "damage" your nails. improper use of the products and too much filing is what "hurts" the nails. I personally have heard a lot of great things about Gelish. but, no matter what you get done, DO NOT remove it at home or another salon. go to the same place you went to get them applied.
