Primer isn't really used to make makeup "stay" necessarily. you may want to try and find a good setting powder and a setting spray.

Go for the cheaper stuff to test things out see how you like them or you can also get costume makeup setting spray, it works really well and will even set the makeup on your lips. the brand I've used is Ben Nye

I've always heard primer helps foundation last longer. "Face primer is used to prep the skin for foundation. It fills lines and pores, creates a silky smooth canvas, and makes your makeup last much longer." I like smashbox. What type of skin do you have?

Make sure you're applying it properly and experiment with different kinds of makeup for the flawless look you're going for.
