I got a haircut about a year ago. because I had bleached my hair so much it was so damaged that I had to get it cut. Since then my hair has only grew like 4 inches. I used to have really long hair ( like to my belly bottom) like 5 months after I got the haircut it only grew like 1.5 in. so I heard if I stopped straightening my hair it was going to grow faster. And so far it did a couple of inches but I need it to grow faster :/ I miss my long hair. I havent cut my hair since then and also I haven't dyed it. so any tips on how to make it grow or something? :(

No heat, organic shampoos, don't wash it as often(max. 3 etc. days), hot oil treatments (I recommend coconut oil).

At any organic store like a grocery store trader joes, sprouts, walmart is where I get my shampoos/conditoner of the "organix" line. Coconut oil realllly works. It will help seal in nutrients and makes your hair shiny silky smooth while preventing damage. I use it in my longggg hair :)). Make sure its extra virgen unrefined so you can get all the best benefits of it.

I've used this one too.

Try braiding your hair when you go to sleep.

Coconut oil is great! It makes your hair grow faster and it feels soft and smooth after.

I cut my hair last July and my hair has grown about 9-10inches!
Heat coconut oil (ask for parachute) and with a cotton bud, apply the oil to your roots..once your done, massage your roots with your finger tips..also make sure you oil your hair in d ends so you don't get splits..soak your hair in oil for not more than 2 hours..and always wash hair with cold/slightly warm water..hot water causes breakage..and always towel try your hair..you can also stand under the sun for it to dry naturally..stop dryers, rollers, irons etc..hope I helped :)

Hi I'm a cosmetologist! this is happening bc there is still bleach damage! once its bleached/dyed hair can never be restored so cutting off most of the blonde and damaged hair might have made it feel better and healthier only by comparison. you need to continue trimming it until the last of that damage is gone and then you will see a dramatic improvement in the growth of your hair. right now its breaking off periodically from the bleach damage and thats why it seems to not be growing.

Ajla - yeah I've heard wonders about the coconut oil I will get asap. & Akhilaa ; OMG 9-10 inches that's a lot. that's how much my hair used to grow in a year.. but thanks for your advise!! (: & Em.L ; yeah I will get it trim today (:.. Dina; yeah the reason I had bleached it a lot was because I was going to dye my hair blue and well it ended up really bad so I had to get my hair cut because it looked like I had gum all over my hair it was so horrible :( and since it was so short I thought to myself why cut it again to let it grow but it won't grow like it used to :/

Gah! Be careful braiding and twisting your hair if it's is damaged before sleep because it can cause breakage. It's important for natural hair because of snarls, but if you have heavily processed hair, it's very fragile and can break while you are twisting and turning at night.
