I'm ditching the red and going back to blonde. I would like to do it at home. Could somebody tell me what products are best?

As a qualified hairdresser I would first strongly recommend to cut a few strands of hair off first to test the product you are going to use. this will let you know the outcome so you won't have a disaster. bleach is always best at lightening the hair. be careful as your red the colour will most likely turn out salmon pinky blonde. Also if you have already bleached your hair in the past it will most likely break off. hair only grows 12cm a year. The test strand will also tell you if it will break make sure you give it a good tug when you rinsed off the colour to test the strength of it. make sure someone else applies the colour for a more even result and just know that I highly recommend you see a professional. I fix many home jobs in my salon and it would have been cheaper fir the client just to come see me in the first place. Good luck Lindsay.

I've been dying and bleaching my hair for years; it's in excellent condition so I'm not too worried. I also have a friend who's a color specialist should I get stuck. Just wondering all the products I need, by recommendation.
