Straightening works on any type of hair, it would work you would need some straightening serum which you can get from any supermarket it's cheap and you spray it on your hair then straighten it, but if its really curly you would have to section your hair if you want it really straight then plait it x

Livie I have a the same problem...I normally straighten first or I just go with the flow when I braid my curly locks! ;)

If you want to braid it wet it down with leave in conditioner then comb it repeat until it's damp then any braid will work!

If you've never straightened you hair, do what Elizabeth E. suggested and wetting your hair before you braid it. That way some of your natural curl pattern is "knocked out" and you should be able to braid it however you'd like!
