Hey guys I have been wanting to be a beauty guru for a long time, and I've decided it's time to put one up. I want to upload a video tomorrow so I was wondering what's a good video to put up for my first video?

Do what you want to do. Don't do a video just cos someone says its a good first video because if you don't enjoy making it no one will enjoy watching it. There's no reason why you have to introduce yourself or start with something 'basic', I'm sure there are plenty of other foundation routines/hauls/reviews on YouTube for people to watch if you don't fancy doing one. Make it 'you' and I'm sure it'll be great, whatever it is.
And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with doing foundation routines and hauls and stuff lol, just to clear that up, just saying don't feel like you have to start with something like that

I agree with Kim, that was great advice and I might add that's what it's all about you have to want to do it because you enjoy it not because you want a title like"guru" which seems to be a little off setting when you can't decide on what to do. Also the word guru means so much more and that term used loosely is a little off setting to me personally. But think of it as the arts of beauty and roll with it anything your mind sets to.Good luck and have fun :-)

I think if you're going to do beauty videos, you should want to share new tips that you think the other girls aren't already doing! Write a list of what you love doing, and seeing on YouTube and go from there.
If you're doing it to just be a "guru" but have no ideas, it may not be clear to your audience you have a thorough knowledge of what you're trying to teach. Don't do it because you want to be internet famous! Ha, find your voice and go from there! Not being harsh I promise.

Just curious, what would make a beauty guru a "guru"? Would you still call yourself one if you're still starting out?

@Rosanna B. I'm not really considering myself a beauty guru at all I'm just using a term everyone pretty much knows I just want to start making makeup and fashion videos because its something I love.
