I'd started embracing my natural hair about two years ago. It's a love hate thing. I love my curls but it takes a lot of time washing, conditioning, deep conditioning, detangling, etc. It's a lot of work. (so much easier to just keep it straight!)

I don't really have a regimen. I'm not good with routines! I use Pantene Relaxed & Natural shampoo or a dandruff control shampoo whenever I decide to shampoo. I condition a lot. I alternate between Organix nourishing Coconut Milk, Organix Biotin & Collagen, Aussie Aussume Volume, TRESemme Flawless Curls, & TRESemme Split Remedy. Currently I'm using La Bella Lots of Curls styling gel or Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1.
I condition my hair every two days.

I'll admit I'm a Hair Care Junkie. My dresser is covered with different bottles of shampoos, conditioners, curling gels, oils, hair lotions. It's horrible!

I'm still learning how to care for my hair. I have yet to find a good conditioner or product that helps cut down on my frizz. What would you girls suggest?

I've been natural all my life, and only recently have I been learning to care for my hair correctly! I used to hate my hair with a burning passion because it wasn't straight nor would it stay tame with the products I used. It was hard when I tried to work with it, and I was and sometimes I still am made fun of for it. But when I fully embraced my hair, and I began working with it instead of against it, it was seriously amazing! When I get in the shower, I wash my hair thoroughly with ACV, and it helps my hair shine! Then I condition it with V05 strawberry conditioner and I rinse. When I get out I wring out my hair with my hands just a bit, and I put Aussie moist conditioner into it , then I comb it through and put it into my normal style ( side ponytail/puff) and I work in a nickel to quarter size amount of Shea moistures coconut and hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie. I comb that through, and then I spritz with extra hold hair spray and I'm off!

Thanks! I was waiting for a fellow curly girl to comment! What's ACV? I had one of the Shea curl enhancing smoothies (in the coral jar) but I didn't really like it. I think I prefer gels. Your curls a very pretty btw! I saw you had your hair dyed in a picture, what color was it?

Oil is honestly a life saver I use Argan oil after every wash!

I've had a hard time with my hair as well , I would always use gel to style it but it would just dry up my hair so I began using conditioner. I only shampoo in the shower amd I then apply some conditioner with a leave on conditioner to help keep it curly. this does help but during the hot days it does get a little puffy..I would suggest thining it out to help have it less puffy which is what I recently did.
That's usually how it looks through the day; I also try not to wash it to much bcuz curly hair needs to be kept moist more than other type of hair

Nicci, do you use an organic Argan oil?

Yoseline, your curls are nicee! Would thinning it out affect how my hair looks when it's straightened?

Oh, & if I let my hair completely air-dry it gets HUGE! Especially in the summer. I usually dry it some with my blow dryer on the cool setting. Or I'll twist it or put it in a high ponytail or bun and let it dry like that.

First off, curly haired girls shouldn't use sulfate shampooes, make sure yours is sulfate free! sulfate frizzes your hair and causes that halo frizz on the top of your head. Also I can't even begin to describe how amazing this curl cream is:

Haha! ACV is apple cider vinegar! I know, I know it sounds gross, but you have to really work it through and rinse out well! And I have never dyed my hair! (Momma won't let me do anything to my mane ) Haha! But I know that it looks blonde in some pictures and brown in others! In real life it's a very dark blonde with goldfish natural highlights! I wear it out so the sun can work its magic! @ Brittany B.

Isabel- I was going to use some ACV one time, but when I opened the bottle I couldn't take putting that stank in my hair lol & nice! Your hair is multicolored, mine is just black! I'm going back straight today, It's too hot for me to deal with my curls!
