My bangs are always getting messed up on their own not long after I style them & staying on the side of my face like this picture. But I always like them kinda covering half my forehead with some volume.

Wrap your hair the way you want you bangs to go and that will help.

Usually I just put some thickish product in there and brush the under layer in the way I want it to go, then I brush it normally in the direction I want it to stay in. Try using a boar bristle brush.
