How should I get my hair cut?

My hair is layered, naturally curly and is down to just before where the smallest part of your waist is. I'm getting it cut on the 8th August, and have no idea how I want it cut. It can't be anything too drastic as I'm going back to school on the 5th September. Any ideas? Thanks xox
