What colour should I dye my hair?

I want to go a really bright colour but I'm super scared, any suggestions?

Bright, as in non-natural colors? if that's the case dying just a section of the underneath (the section just above the nape of your neck) adds a pop of color that shows just a bit and isn't "too much". I had many compliments doing this with a blue color I loved the effect.
this could also work with natural colors, maybe a bigger section of the underneath part of your hair. depending on the color it would be a bold, fun contrast. (very light blonde, or dark brown/black)
