Okay, I'm just trying to understand 2 things.
1.why does everyone have an aversion to color in make up? blending to the point of almost getting rid of the color, limiting products to tutorials only, etc
2. why does everyone have an aversion to mid range and high end products? is it really just price? I read one review where a girl claimed loreal hip was better than mac regardless of price..

I just can't afford mid and high.
But I won't talk it down, I know the pigments etc.are way better in high end

They are expensive and probably get most dupes in a drugstore. as for blending, I guess it's to make it look more natural? good makeup shouldn't look like makeup but just an awesome version of you.

I usually don't have the biggest budget and only own few high end make up. Most of my things are from sales in boots or car boot sales (especially nail varnishes) and most of the time they work just as well or better than high priced.

I've never understood #1 either lol. #2 I think it's more than just the price you get what you pay for if you can afford it.the colors better in mid and high.but then again there is nothing wrong with drugstore makeup they have some amazing product not everyone can afford a 20-30 dollar mascara (myself included) if your looking for a drugstore brand try loreal I usedto use it but now I like physicians formula it just gives a more natural look(:

Aleighnna took the words right out of my mouth. I'm that girl who LOVES dramatic makeup, if you take a look at my pictures you'll know what I mean. I like when people can tell that I'm wearing makeup, however, I understand why people only limit bold looks to tutorials. Perhaps their day-to-day preference is the "no makeup" makeup and they only do colorful looks for artistic purposes or because they got requests to do said look. As for your second point I think it's important to pay attention to quality, not price. Sometimes high end stuff is really crappy. I know if I can find a product that's basically the same (or better) for a cheaper price then I'll buy the cheaper one. Not everyone can afford $18 eyeshadow singles, and it's quite silly to pay so much for something if you know there's a cheaper version at your local Walgreens. Those are just my thoughts though. :)
