I love them and am going to get one soon. What do you think about them: like? dislike? why?
And if you have one, what is it of?

Love them. But I also have 0 tattoos. I use to want them, if anything, I will probably get one, one small one, drawn by myself. Other then that, I am a little afraid to grow older and see how that tattoo has transformed into something else.

I got my first tattoo when I turnt 16. I'm 23 now and I have 14!! So obviously I love them. My first one was a butterfly btw. =]

Wow 14! I am planning on getting a black stencil-looking birdcage on my back shoulder with a bird flying out. And I have just started thinking about getting an ivory elephant, which is from the movie 'the secret garden', which I watched all the time when I was little.

I love my tattoos, mainly because each one has a special meaning to me, and they were well thought out ahead of time. I know too many people that get tattoos on a whim and end up getting shoddy work that they end up hating in a couple years. Make sure they have meaning and you will love them forever.

More and more people are being tattooed these days. I cant wait for our generation to be in our fifties. Just so i can watch all of these heavily tattooed individuals walk around with sagging sleeves. Its going to be hilarious.

I love them! I have none yet, but planning on getting one soon! :)

I love them! I have a chestpiece, a bow on each ankle, and a biohazard symbol. I'm only 20, but I have sooo many more ideas.
My reasoning is that if I ever regret a tattoo, I just have to remember that at one point in my life, it was exactly what I wanted, so I can't complain too much about them!

I love tattoos, but I have none as of yet. I want at least three small tattoos.

I'm not a fan. I have 3, all gotten when I was 18-20. I didn't think it through. I want them removed.

I have three, I let a friend do my second one because she was training to be a tattoo artist - she did a great job but the colours are slightly off. She did a feather on my rib cage and I don't want to get the colours done again because of the pain.
Other than that I'm quite happy with my tattoos, my first one was when I was fifteen and done on a whim and my last one was an owl that I co-designed with the tattooist.
I want another but my boyfriend doesn't really like them, I think I'm still going to get one though :D

I love them! I got 10 already. I prefer to get my ink done in places where won't get noticed at work. For example, neck tattoos are a no no.

It depends what you get! Im not a fan, but if its tastful and actually means something then i guess its cool :)

I love tattoos. But i think ppl need to think about where they get them at. I have 6 and all mine are in spots that stay covered or that can easily be covered up. :)

@JOSAYNOMOR Actually, when I see photos of seniors with full body suits or they are heavily tattooed I think it looks beautiful. There is something about old faded tattoos that makes me think that there is a story from a long time ago behind the tattoo. Old faded tattoos are the best kind.

I have six fairly large tattoos, a traditional Japanese sleeve, a Haida eagle on my back, heart shaped cherries and stars on my chest, tiger lilies on my shoulder and a peonie and chrysanthemum on my underarms.

This isn't my picture, but Heather's comment made me think of it.

The quote goes: "What are you going to do about your tattoos when you get old?" "Probably grow an epic beard and hang out with other badass tattooed dudes. What are you going to do when you're older and look the same as everybody else?"

I think tattoos are fantastic, as long as you take the time (months, or even years) to plan out something meaningful, personal and tasteful. I waited 6 months to get my back done, and I absolutely love it.

I believe tattoos are beautiful works of art and if you want one don't listen to people that will try and make you regret getting one if you already have on or if you plan on getting one don't let them stop you it's your body. Hope your tat comes out beautiful Jackie :))

i love tattoos, they are a great, artistic way to express yourself. im getting my first one next weekend, im so excited :)

i think people should really take the time to think about what they want and where they want it. too many people make the mistake of not doing this and end up with tattoos they dont like for the rest of their life :(

Love them! Hoping to pretty much get covered in the future. So far I only have this. =D

I love them! I only have three, and unfortunately I didn't pick out a fantastic artist for mine so they aren't the best quality, but I love them all the same. I can't wait until I have enough money saved to go to an amazing artist and get some bigger pieces done.
My advice to you is to just find a good artist and follow aftercare instructions so you don't end up with a blotchy tattoo.

I personally think some tats are pretty cute to look at. I like to look at written words in cursive. If I ever got a tat it would say 'forever young' in cursive writing in the middle of my back--only because my last name in Young so it would have a double meaning. The only problem is i don't like anything that is too permanent so I probably won't end up getting one.

I love that photo Catey! I agree with most on here. I have a tattoo myself and have no shame at all about it and I know for a fact I will never be. I've always wanted tattoos and being able to have that experience in my life is something I will always look back on and cherish.

They're fine. It's a form of self-expression. I used to want one really badly when I was younger (but my mom said no) and when I did get to the age where I could get one, I didn't care any more, lol. I don't have any. I'll never say never, but I don't really want one. I did have a lip piercing which I loved. I can't wait to get it re-done! I'll definitely be getting more piercings ...
