Anyone ever tried these? My toenails are absolutely horrible and I'm thinking these might be the only answer. I'm super hesitant about it though. Post pictures if you have them!

Lol they seem very unatractive and in LA the ladies use the toe nail super long...it its very ghetto
Why not focus on making ur toes healthy? Moisturize go to sallys and but vitamin or nail growing serums and dont paint them keep tem natural until rhey look great

Ew, no! I would NEVER get them long. The only reason I was thinking about them is because my toenails are incredibly short. i'd only want them to extend a length a TIIIINY bit. But I'm still thinking about it.

Don't do it!!! I graduated hs in 1992(Los Angeles) and the girls were doing it back then it looked so dang ghetto. Just get a bottle of ridge filler to give your nails a smooth canvas if you're having an issue with ridges. But don't do it.

Acrylic toe nails can be very nicely done w/o looking as some have posted "ghetto". You don't have to get them where they are too long but just so that they look natural. If you are hesitant about trying them first get a set of the press on toe nails and try those out for a little while and see how you like them.

Thanks everyone! My toenails are just so dang short. I'd never want them to look like claws, but I want something there for the summer!

Its a No for acrylic on the toed, as it is to hard for toes when you wearing shoes,if you want extentions do a soft or natural gel that is flexible, or soak off, it will help you to keep them together and will be able to grow some lenght, hope that helps

I am a licensed nail tech and I have acrylic on my big toe nails. My toenails break alot and to keep my pedicure looking nice I apply tips. They are not super long or ghetto looking and they look nice you will be surprised at how many ladies have acrylic on their toes.

I haven't found them to look ghetto at all. I know a lot of middle aged women who have them and you can't even tell. They look nice. The only reason I have against it is the shoe thing. I bet it would hurt pulling one of those suckers off while putting a shoe on! Haha. But no they can be done nicely.

Saying that putting acrylic on your toenails is "ghetto" is super offensive. I live in NYC and most women here don't put it on there finger nails let alone toes.

Everyone's ideal of beauty is subjective. For myself personally I couldn't and wouldn't wear acrylic tips on my toenails. From what I saw in highschool scared the mess out of me to never want to try it.

I wouldn't do it unless I had amazingly short toe nails.. And even in this case I'm not sure.. I'm a fan of natural nails... And if I have gel nails I make sure they don't look very fake! Sometimes I see people with a very thick layer of gel/ acrylic! I think that's worse than very long fake nails... But I think everyone should do what they feel is pretty! And remember: Your nails grow! So it is not something permanent;)

I've tried a few different fake toenails before. My natural nails are sooo short and they don't seem to grow at all. I tried the plastic glue on ones first but they always seemed to long which is a pain in the butt because you have to trim and reshape from the bottom if you want to keep the design. I've also tried acrylics which I think looks better and lasts longer. The only problem is that since I did them myself it was really awkward and uncomfortable to reach and still be able to see what I was doing.
As far as length goes, I barely went to the ends of my toes. I mostly wanted a nicer looking toenail shape instead of length. If your nails dig into your shoes then they're to long.
My suggestion: Sallys has some plain glue on toenails in all different sizes. Get a package of those and try them out. Since there's no design on them you can trim them to any length you want and paint on any design or color you feel like. If you like them then you can decide if acrylics are worth it.

I personally wouldn't do it because my toenails grow long on there own. I say go for it if you really want to.

Girls, thank you for all your great replies! I have actually been babying my feet for the past month and have noticed a huge difference in my toenail growth. I've also discovered that pedicures are God's gift to women. Looks like I won't need acrylics! But thanks again. =]

It's summer so if you wear open toed sandals a lot it shouldn't bother you. I personally think they look very nice if it's just a 'short' squared off white french tip acrylic toe nail. I got gel ones and they looked sexy I think. Especially if you're tanned! Lol
