Would I look better with short or long hair?

I like my short hair when it's just like a face shot but I feel like when I look at my whole body with short hair it makes me look heavier. Maybe that's weird but that's how I feel.
Also, any makeup advice to do different? Has anyone tried Bella terra mineral powder? Love it, but looking for cheaper alternative
