Hey guys!
So I'm getting my hair ombré-d at a salon and I was just wondering on what I should expect and what prep should I do?
Like should I wash my hair that morning? Or have day old hair?
How long should it take?
And if I don't like it can I redye it to my normal hair colour straight away?
So many questions!!
If you have any more tips or know what to expect please let me know!!

Day old hair is best in my opinion, but no hairspray or product.
Your hair might smell a little funny and feel brittle at first. Just condition it and be gentle with it. In my experience you can redye it the next day if you wish. Time really depends on the product and technique and your hair type :)

They usually tell me a day old hehe but with no hairspray or nothing just your hair with no chemicals and I won't recommend dying it just in case you don't like it it will fry your hair and your putting it to work more but you should love it ombre looks gorgeous on everyone :) for your hair taking care of I would ask them once there done with your hair what treatment you could use I'm not a professional so I can't answer that sorry but for myself I use conditioner I rinse threw but not all the way just to give it that soft feel :)

So would I wash my hair after I come home from the salon or do I leave it like that to stick properly or something? Sorry if this sounds silly haha!

@Elsa I'm just worried about what it's going to turn out like because I have short hair and brown skin and dying the ends this brown colour so if it clashes with my face I definitely want to get rid of it!

Don't wash it the day before you go to the salon or the day after. If your hair is dark like mine then you most likely won't like the color after, but give it some time to get brighter in the sun and buy purple shampoo so that it goes lighter. at first I didnt like the color mine turned out, but my hair stylist told me to atleast give it a week to get brighter using purple shampoo and she was right now I love it?? But beware: Ombr? hair is very time consuming because of how much damage your doing so if your a fast living person and you don't have very much time to style your hair every morning than don't do it because my hair use to take 15 mins to style every morning and now it takes up to an hour.
