Does Hydrogen Peroxide In Your Hair Make It Lighter?

Was wondering if its damaging to put peroxide in your hair while your out in the sun to make it lighter.

Yes. I've tried it and it made my hair (or the part) really orangy. its also really damaging. it eats away at the healthy stuff that makes your hair strong.

Peroxide literally burns your hair, it will get stringy and elastic.

Peroxide is not lighter! Lightener is not bleach! Bleach is not used on hair and shouldn't be!! Peroxide is not an acid, it is a base. Peroxide lets break it down, the {oxide} means its a transitioning argent. Peroxide mixed with a colorant or lightened will alter natural pigmentation! Alone it will do nothing but swell the hair which will lead to damage. Hair lightness have gone through amazing advances the last decade as well as color, creating healthier, glosser and damage-free results! Please if you are reading this, remember it wisely!
