I will probably stay better if it isn't freshly washed. Try keeping your hair natural and straight on your hair wash day, then do curls the next and alternate?

Hair spray the strand before and after you curl it. That usually helps me and my hair is really really stubborn too.

I have the exact same problem...I use bendable rollers that I sleep on at night when my hair is damp or wet. I also use some extra hold hairspray:)

Letting the curl set after curling it helps. Pinning the entire curl into one loop and letting it cool, you have a bouncier and longer lasting curl by letting it cool down. Like.. Collapse the curl into itself while it's still hot and pin it and take it out when it's cool!

My hair is the same and the only curling iron that has worked for me is the Remington curling wand. If you end up getting a wand the Remington is a lot better than the Conair one! My hair slips off the Conair wand. Hope this helps :)
