If you have a Mac, iMovie is amazing. It's what I use and I really think the key to having a successful channel is a good editor and high video quality. So many people are filming in HD now, so it's hard to compete with a webcam (which is what I have at the moment). If you're on a PC, you can use Windows Movie Maker which you can download online. Hope this helped!

My personal favourite is Corel Video Studio Pro Xwhatever. I've used 4 and 5 and liked them both, but 4 is now cheaper. Unfortunately, 4 is about 40 dollars right now so the free route... Windows Movie Maker. But if you use MOV files, you'll have to convert them with Any Video Converter and it ruins the quality. :/

Erica, like I said, you need to convert with Any Video Converter. If you don't have it, download it and then change the files to MPEG-II. WMM will accept that. Quality will be less, but it's the only thing that'll work. I just publish in "fake HD" (WMV and then 720 something, it'll be listed) and it helps a little bit.
