What do you think of clothing that has pentagrams on them? I tend to like them I think they're edgy and fun but some people think that it's not right. What's your opinion?

My opinion: it's whatever. I guess it's just like how people don't like crosses on clothes. It's kinda like a religious statement in a way?

I'm not a huge fan of religious symbols being worn as a fashion statement in general. people wear crosses and pentagrams because they're sacred and its part of their faith so to me it seems a bit disrespectful. that being said, I have absolutely no problem with others wearing them for fashion. that's their own choice and I respect that.

I agree with Kenzie. It's not my thing. My boyfriend absolutely hates it. Like it bothers him A LOT. Me personally, if you do it fine, more power to you, I have no problems with it. Just don't expect me to do it.

I don't consider the first two actual pentagrams if that makes sense. The satanic pentagram looks like this. It's upside down. I can understand why people find it offensive but I personally don't mind.

I thinks its rediculous that people are getting affended by this, its just like the cross or enything. I don't think it needs to be sacred to the person for the to wear it, its a fashion statement or just a cool symbol. there is nothing wrong with wearing the pentagram no matter what youre situation, people should be able to wear what they want :) rage over.

Beth D. you kind of missed the point of why people are upset when people wear religious iconography for "fashion". Perverting a sacred object into something worn for vanity ("just a cool symbol") is extremely offensive to followers of whatever faith is being bastardized. The tradition and meaning behind the symbol is being ignored because people think it looks nice. THAT is why people get offended.
Re: pentacles, I don't think they belong in fashion, the same way I don't think the crucifix or St. Peter's Cross belong in fashion. Any time a culture or religion is appropriated by the mass market, it is an offense to those who hold that iconography sacred. I don't think there is any need to use religious or cultural symbols in fashion, period.
