What's your budget? There are so many brands out there you can get bright colors. If you're willing to spend some money you can check out Make-up Forever, MAC, Sugar Pill, Inglot, OCC, Urban Decay and Nars. If you're on a budget you can check out NYX, Glamour Doll Eye (they have samples for $1.25) Wet n Wild, Milani and other drug store brands.

NYX has wonderfully pigmented shadows for a great price! Almost alll of my products are NYX, and although I'm obviously not african-american, I think it'd be a great place for you to start n___n
