I need hair help?

So this school year, I want to do something different with my hair. My hair right now is very dark brown with dark red and caramel highlights. Some are natural and some are from my last salon visit but they are faded. My hair almost touches the bottom of my back and I'm terrified of getting it cut short. I just really need a change. ps sorry I look a bit raggedy, I'm not wearing makeup:p.

Get some layers. And some that reach a little past your shoulder it will shorten some of your hair while still keeping lots of length. (That sounds confusing haha) maybe get some low lights to give your hair more dimension. And to finish it some face framing layers would look really good

Thank you guys soooo so much! I really want to do the ombr? but my moms a bit... limited? shes not very happy with me trying to change my hair:/ and @Liz, thank you so much for your help, how many layers do you think I should get or should I just get a whole bunch??

Perhaps you could try cutting only a few inches off & dye it a solid color.

If you like the color of the faded red, I'd say keep it cuz I dyed a part of my hair bright colors and now it's faded it looks like pretty pastel colors :)
