First exfoliate: baking soda mixed into your cleanser then onto face in gentle circular motion. A good mud based masque is good for drawing out excess oils and will help pull out blackheads over time. These two done together will help...witch hazel is a wonderful mild astringent for after the masque to tone and take off traces of masque left behind. Great for everyday use and after shaving and to calm down any sunburn. Lots of home remedies may be better than costly department store options. Good luck Ashley!

Also, if you use any moisturizer, make sure the first or second ingredient isnt mineral oil, as it may cause blackheads...

I know it sounds gross, but the best thing I have found to get rid of blackheads is just by popping them. I heat some water in a microwave, dip a washcloth in it & apply to my face for about 2 minutes and then get to squeezing! Lol
I have tried to many OTC products for blackheads & none of them seem to work for Me.

I'm a squeezer. I've accepted the fact that no matter how much astringent, cleanser, ponds strips, etc. that I use... they're not reallllllly going anywhere. So I get that gunk OUT.

The ONLY way to get rid of blackheads is by going to get a facial with a esthetician and getting Extractions. You can try and minimize them with primers and powders, but they will still be there. A esthetician will deep cleanse, exfoliate to clear debri, buildup and dead skin cells and soften the skin with steam to prepare for extractions. To maintain and prevent them at home use the clarisonic mia brush-it deep cleans skin AT HOME and clears dead skin cell, oil, debri. next use a glycolic acid or salicylic acid to exfoliate skin.Murad tone pore refining gel if u have normal, combo, dry skin. If you are extremely oily get Murad exfoliating acne treatment gel. use in the evening as your skin adjusts.
*Don't squeeze at home, if could damage tissue.skin has to be prepared for extractions.
Goodluck !
