Hello, I'm curious to know what salon brands products people like and what they use them for. I ask this because I just got my first job as a hair stylist, but I'm not familiar with a lot of salon brand products. I don't want to know about products that are not a salon brand.
So just list your favorite salon products and what you use them for, especially if you know they can be bought at Smart Style (the salons that are inside Walmart)

What product lines do you carry at your salon? my favorites are aveda, moroccan oil and some of redken! I love all of avedas products but my favorites are the pure abundance hair potion its a powder that adds texture to hair and holds backcombing like no other, I use it everyday and also works like a charm on updos! I also love the phomalliant and volumzing tonic from aveda the duo works awesome together on fine hair, the phomolliant is a lightweight mousse, and the volumzing tonic is a spray that you use on the roots and it lifts and hold volume all day, I love round brushing with that combo! another one from aveda is the brilliant universal styling cream this is awesome on thick coarse hair that helps smooths and adds shine! I love all of avedas shampoos and conditioners because they perform like it says it will! from moroccan oil I love all of the shampoo, conditioners and love the masks, the oil is too heavy for my hair but works wonders on mostly everybody! from redken the extreme line is amazing on damaged and over processed hair! the best to learn more about salon products is to read the labels of them at your salon, use them, check out different product lines websites! most product lines have similar products like mousse, oil, different shampoos and conditioners for every hair type/ hair concern, just helps knowing what products to use for each guest! best of luck dear! (:

Thanks everyone you've helped a lot. I haven't started working there yet but I wanted to know the products before I start and I've been trying to find what they carry.

Pravana!
I can usually find salon brands in retail shops, but I have only been able to get my hands on Pravana products through my salon and I love it =)
