I think you have used metallic here. it's ok but not well blended. the effect works best on creme polishes. anything sparkly or metallic doesn't work so well.

How did you do it without getting polish on your skin?? Even when I wrap my fingers in tape, polish always gets through somehow lol.

@juliana I made the base a creme polish, and tried to fade the glitter polish down. @alex I am just very careful lol I do get it on y skin sometimes though, but I clean it up after with nail polish remover and a quip. I heard of a trick where you can put Vaseline around your nails and the excess polish will just wipe off, I don't know how well it works though. @cynthia thank you! :)

You Have the basic idea, but its not blended very well the metallic isn't very good for the base color but it's all with experiment & what you like. the vaseline really does work I always do this dip a cotton swab in the Vaseline and but it around your nails careful not to get on your nail or cuticle and by the time you've painted your nails the paint of the Vaseline has dried and will be able to peel off easly c:
