I haven't owned either. QUALITY WISE which is better. You can rant about your personal opinions as well ;)

I always liked both growing up.. I haven't worn a tennis shoe or sneaker type shoe in years, but I would definitely buy both again =) I never wore either enough to where they wore out completely, so they both lasted, were comfy, and looked cute! I do think keds were more comfy right away though, vans took a little breaking in (and lots of band-aids on my heels) before they were as comfy as keds.

All my vans I have bought for school have not lasted me until the end of the semester. I was very disappointed and would not recommend them. Target has some nice sneakers though for really cheap that are just as colorful and cute, just not the name brand
