Can someone please help me! I want to cut some side bangs at home, but I don't want to mess it up. I've watched some videos on youtube, but the type of side bangs they show are so thick and really across their face. anyone have any tips as to how to cut some simple, subtle side bangs at home?

Start by cutting with the scissors held vertically instead of horizontally and do little tiny chips in your bangs until you get where you want them to be uneven is the key so they lay right. Very tiny cuts with scissors held upright:)

I'm bad at explaining things.. but I found a video on youtube but I wasnt happy with the results on mine so I just worked it out myself.. I just did mine recently. just do it slowly but surely.. cut with your scissors facing up.. I mean use the pointy part of the scissors so itl look natural and not too dead straight..
