Oh my god, Elsa, that girl was not your friend. At least that's my opinion. My wife had similar issue until she met me. I had to tell it to her straight that her girlfriends were using her.
She told me she knew it but figured she didn't deserve better / would find better friends. She needed a massive shot of self esteem.
Good for you for setting boundaries. I wish you luck in finding some quality girlfriends. You are worth it!

Elsa...your welcome..and I know what you mean about "it messed you up" people that care too much of what other people think..usually something is behind it..for you it was your X friend.. n for me I also had something like that similar..and that's why sometimes we need to hear that "ITS OK" from someone else..specially if we don't have many friends..like just 2 days ago I posted a topic about 2 bags that I liked and wanted to choose 1..but I was so insecure about it I had to hear from other peoples opinion..thanfully they helped me choose and I was happy with the outcome..(its under style..what bag goes with everything) if you want to see the post.
