Its permanent but its gradual it will take a while. you can.try hydrogen peroxide..its a little less damaging than bleach but make sure you always deep condition.

Lemon juice if great at lightening hair when combined with sunlight and is less damaging than hydrogen peroxide and more affective than honey.

Try half a lemon's juice mixed with some vodka, then sit in the sun. Be sure to deep condition!

Be careful with lemon though, it can turn dark hair very brassy if you don't do it gradually.
