I also used Sensationail but I don't know what went wrong! The gel wasn't drying and it was just a mess. I've heard nothing but great reviews on the Mally system! I want to try that. :)

If you find the gel not dry, wipe it with alcohol, it will feel different.

Do you wipe with alcohol before uv light or after?

Wipe with alcohol after the UV light, and only on the top coat, not every coat.

I bought a 32w UV lamp from ebay for £12, UK seller. I bought a few cheap gel polishes from Chinese sellers. I got the sensationail refill kit and a couple of colours from Boots. I have had CND shellac done multiple times at a salon. Over all I wasnt very impressed with sensationail, the top coat didnt hold its shine very well and it seemed to take absolutely ages to take off, I had to alternate between buffing and soaking in acetone. CND top coat holds its shine really well and will look fresh until you decide to take it off, and taking it off seems a lot easier. I'm deffinitly going to invest in my own CND top and base coats :)

Sorry for all the posts but a quick tip, if like me, you already have loads of nail polishes, and you don't want to double up on colours just because you want it in a UV polish, all you have to do is do your UV base coat, then paint on your normal polish and allow to air dry, I usually wait about 5 minutes max because I hate waiting. Then put your UV top coat over the top, like a UV sandwich! I do this and it lasts just as long, but is also slightly quicker to remove, because its easier to dissolve.
