It will wash off gradually but you can spray sun in, for dark hair after shampoo. It lightens hair but you sudnt use more then what it says on the product.

I would honestly go to a salon to get it fixed. You can do things to get the black dye out (washing with dish soap, washing hair over and over, etc) but it takes forever and I'm not sure you would get back to your original color. I have seen a product at drugstores that strips dye from hair so maybe try that? I dyed my hair jet black in HS and it took forever for it to fade...

Go to a salon, it's going to have to be done in steps over a period of time. Box dyes are super harsh and very hard to lift. Sun in will make your dark hair an awful awful orange shade that's if it does anything besides further damage your hair. It's not worth doing it at home to save money I can almost guarantee you you are going to have to fix it at a salon in the end.

Don't use sun in! It did make my hair super light, but as soon as I went to get my hair trimmed my hair dresser knew I was doing sun in because it damaged my hair!

Haha thank you! I am so happy I have never dyed it yet! Lol I occasionally get highlights for the summer time because I use to have bleach blonde hair in the summer but with two jobs now I hardly get to go to the beach to lighten it up!

No problem Velen, I went through something similar I had to shop around for the best salon to get what I wanted and the girl ended up doing what she called several bleach washes. You'll get there again just be patient.

If you still need to lighten and don't want to use straight bleach, consider doing a "soap cap" process. Basically cut the bleach with shampoo. Much less damaging than color strippers.

I'm a licensed hair stylist and in salon is where you will receive the less damage so good for you...I was always taught to never put a blonde a level one which is black...one thing I know is keeping my hair healthy while going back blonde avoid heat air dry your hair...if you just have to straighten it make sure it's low heat most clients tell me but it won't straighten just take small sections...also look into color proof crazy smooth my favorite line as of now.

Buy silver shampoo, look for cynol's range! Order on amazon or something, takes the orangey out of your hair and makes it more white blonde!! I use this to make my hair blonde instead of highlights it's amazing
