I think it's horrible! I used to love their clothes in middle school/ high school and I wasn't exactly a little petite girl! I lost all respect for his company. And not only was this kind of targeted towards large women, he was saying people that weren't in the cool crowd aren't 'attractive' and that's who he wanted to wear his brand. I'm sorry sir but you're not exactly easy on the eyes. I'm so glad I work for a clothing store that has clothes for women of ALL shapes and sizes.

Wow that's awful!! That guy is a total jerk.

It's truly such a shame that he thinks only specific type of people should buy his clothes. As a businessman, shouldn't your goal be to share your products to EVERYBODY? I can't stand it when people think they are so superior to others.
And plus how can he say this when he himself looks like an ad for plastic surgery gone wrong?

I never really shipped there myself, and recently I began to wonder if I should give it a shot, but his statement is so cruel towards many people, I couldn't support it.

This makes me so sick to my stomach. Just the fact that he's saying larger people aren't pretty makes me mad. Weight does not define beauty. Their clothes aren't that cute anyway lol.

That place sucks anyway.

Is it bad that I'm still going to shop there? yes, he is a complete jerkface , but who says we have to go with what he is saying? not shopping there is practically letting him win. what we should do if get women and men of ALL shapes and sizes TO shop there, to show that his opinion doesn't have an effect on us. I mean honestly , someone should buy him a mirror. anyway, just cause he's the CEO doesn't mean HE designs all the clothing there

Its funny how he's being discriminatory to "unattractive people" yet he looks like sloth from the goonies.

@Klementine
It's not bad at all that you'll still shop there! I like your idea actually. Unfortunately, if people can't fit in the clothes, they can't buy them. Also, while the designers are in charge of the style of the clothes, those in charge of the company do decide what sizes to carry.

A year or so a go he said he didn't want minorities to wear his clothes either.

Or poor people, lets not forget about them. But I didn't shop there before and I'm not going to start either. Letters to the company should probably be written though so they know and he knows just how much of an upset this is.

I guess the only reason they sell shirts in bigger sizes for men is to target the bigger athletic guys. what a bunch of crap...

In my opinion, they're clothes are overpriced for the quality and not that nice looking anyways. Every experience I've ever had there(very few, but enough) has been negative. I understand him targetting to a certain crowd, because every company does, but this is just discrimination. Makes me sick.

Their clothes were waaaaaaaaaay too boring for me to even keep browsing. so I never bothered. I don't aim to look like the"cool kids" because my definition of "cool" is different than his.

Thanks for sharing. How rude is that! I only have a hoody of theirs but I won't be wearing it anymore and I certainly won't be buying from them again. I don't want to be a walking advert for a company with such values. Yuck.

Never liked the musty stench in their stores along with the Ken doll models and obnoxious music. Oh yeah, and the prices...way too much for basic clothes. This was just a reminder of how much I dislike these preppy stores..personal preference.

That's horrible! That's why I don't shop there. Or Hollister. The business runs on the fuel of trying to be popular.

I think he could have said that way better and still made his point! I don't know why everyone's gone off the brand if they liked it before though. Places like Evans don't sell below size 14, but they're not accused of being sizist or discluding thinner people or promoting obesity or anything bad like that. Every shop has a target audience and Abercrombie's happens to be slimmer women. There's nothing wrong with that, just like there isn't anything wrong with "plud size" shops having a target audience of larger people. I do agred that he was very offensive though and he really should have reworded all of that. It hasn't put me off a shop I occasionally buy things from when I'm in the area though.
