Hair coloring question (also, anyone use naturcolor?)

I want to go a golden brown for the summer and wanted to do it from box color from whole foods. I decided on naturcolor from reviews I read. Do you think I can achieve the color I want by choosing the color 8D? (I'll post the swatch next)

8D or 7D, of course I'm not going to that color but on my dark hair I figured it would achieve a golden brown color.

Do you have hair color on your hair now? If you have box color, or any color at all, you won't be able to get to an 8 with your dark hair without using a lightener first. If it's virgin hair, you'll still have to use high lift color. Color itself doesn't life color. You can put blonde color and your hair all day but it won't be blonde unless you bleach it.

Like use the 8 to get to a 5 or 6. Does that work like that? lol.

Box color generally doesn't have a high enough developer to lift your hair more than 1-2 shades regardless of what lightness the color is so I doubt it would work :(

I just did it and I only wanted it lifted 1-2 shades. it hasn't fully dried yet but I already see it's lighter :) I ended up getting the 7N though because they didn't have the 8G :/

It didn't turn orange because it wasn't a lightener. :) Just lighter, a brown.
