I have small eyes and I find full sets of lashes weigh tiny eyes down too much... I usually use the individual lashes and that really helps with the weight issue =) I haven't had a problem with any brand, I have liked all that I have tried. Ardell and MAC are the ones I have used the most, and I don't have a preference.
I also like Ardell 109 and 110 lashes because they aren't so thick, so they don't overwhelm my smaller eyes. They aren't as full, so they don't weigh down your eyelids or make them look smaller. I also suggest cutting them down to fit your eyes and not allowing them to cover the complete width of your lash line (they peel easier that way and are really noticeable on small eyes when they peel)
