Has anyone tried this? I just bought it because I generally use a box or two between salon colorings. It drew me in with the ammonia free ( seemingly impossible with permanent box dye) have you guys had positive experiences with it?

Did not take on my hair wasted money :(

Box colors are bad BUT you need to know what you're doing if you're going to buy color from Sally Beauty! And truthfully, those are cheap, low quality professional colors (not much better than boxes). And you can't just pick a color and slap it on-- those colors are meant to be formulated with each other and with a developer depending on your hair color, your desire hair color, and your hair condition.

If you're going to do your own color, stick with semi-permanent color. It's much less harsh.

Thanks for your input Susannah. I know that box colors aren't preferable but sometimes it's all that's available.

DON't USE OLIA! I used this brand first about six months ago and I'm still trying to grow out the damage it did to my hair. it's terrible stuff.

Thanks Alyssa I'll look into that. I used Olia last night and this morning my hair looks pretty evenly dyed, and no damage but I'm sure it's different for everyone
