I tried the 'no shampoo' method today (baking soda in water as shampoo replacement) and I'm so scared that if I carry on ill be bald! H E L P.

I read reviews that said if you do it too much it dries your scalp up and then half of one girls hair fell out, but another woman said it helped her hair grow and become thick! so confused

Interesting... Well, we all have different kind of hair. Uh, I've never even heard of that. Why'd you try no shampoo tho?? Jw :)

Ok, I'll be honest in saying I have no idea why you used baking soda. If you're trying to do no shampoo do a co-wash, aka only washing with conditioner. A lot of black girls who go natural do this as shampoos have sulphates that strip out hair of nutrients (though that applies for everyone). Co-washing will get the hair clean without the stripping effect of shampoo. So try using only conditioner instead of baking soda, as I don't think baking soda should really be used for hair as it may be to harsh.

EXACTLY what Erin said. Not sure why anyone would put baking soda in their hair. Maybe look into clarifying conditioners, they help get rid if build up. I have one and love it.

Baking soda is amazing and safe to use on hair once every two weeks.

Okay, so I did the whole no shampoo thing for a while. I found that the hardest part was finding the right baking soda to water ratio. Too much baking soda = dry scalp (and this awful burning sensation). Too little baking soda = hair still feeling dirty. I've never had my hair fall out because of it. I think it's better to start with 1T of baking soda to 2 cups of water. Then add or reduce the amount depending on how you feel. Good luck :)

Works best with thick/curly hair. I have thin hair and it just made my hair look oily. However my mom did the exact same thing as me and her hair is now gorgeous
