Hi Nyki: I don't know about Mac but one colour I absolutely love on dark skin is Garnet by Cover Fx http://www.sephora.com/productimages/sku/s1035336-main-Lhero.jpg
I love how it applies and it's finishing effect is fabulous. It instantly lifts up the cheekbones. I have applied it on dark skins before and I would say 90% instantly fall in love 😊 hope this helps.

I am sorry but don't know Mac colors either (many do,lol) but I like to use a bronzer with no shimmer in it for blush and/or contouring.

You want to go with rich looking colors. Nothing to light because it won't show up on our skin. I only own one blush from Mac but it's for contouring. My favorite colors are purple shades, orange, raspberry hot pink or brownish red colors. Those colors are amazing on us and will look "natural". You can always go into the mac store or counter and swatch the colors or ask one of the artist. They'll help you.

Raizin is a great neutral start...Fever and Ambering Rose also look great on darker skin. I Highly, HIGHLY recommend La Femme Blushes. You can order them from MakeUpMania.com and they have an incredible range of colors that are flattering to all skin tones. The pigmentation for these blushes is (in my opinion) better than MAC and they have more colors suited to women of color. MAC blushes range from $18-$24 each. La Femme's are $2.87/each (pan only) or $3.00 for single blushes. You can also custom order a palette for $40 and get 12 colors that come in a labelled palette for you.
I would recommend Terracotta, Russet, Purple Passion (soooo pretty!), Golden Sunset, Cinnabar and Bordeaux to start. I have 3 separate palettes and I love all of the colors.
