If it's thin.. Just keep brushing it every once in a while during when it's air drying. It will be straight. That's what I do and I have curly/wavy hair that's baby fine! :)

DO NOT brush your hair when its wet. when its medium dry you can comb it and spray a bit of heat protectant and straightening spray; comb through your hair with medium heat blow dryer, then once its dryer then you can use a brush with the hair dryer hot for your straightening, then blast it with cool air, then spray argan oil throughout your hair, blast with cool air again to dry the oil. :*

Thats what I did for a while when I didnt want to fry my thin brittle hair with a straightener for a while. it really helped with my hair!(: I hope it helps you. and brushing your hair when wet stretches and breaks the strands, so when your hair drys the strands either break or fallout. Be careful combing!

Make lots of little braids with damp hair and sleep in them. The tightness of the wave alters with the tightness of the braid. Good luck xx

If your hair can hold a shape and you want semi-retro curls, do pin curls, except get your hair wet, curl it into little circles, and pin to your head. take them out when you want to wear them and hairspray to hold bounciness.
This is not true pin-curling, but it is much easier. :)

Personally with pin curls don't water them I wait until my hair is dry and it makes them beautiful I have just under shoulder length hair and if its wet it goes into ringlets which isn't a good look :p but its what I do a lot atm to avoid using heat
