Ahhh same thing here!! I have no idea why! and I'm sick of black hair but I keep on going back to it because it looks much healthier.

Yeah... same here too! I think dullness and split ends appear more on light hair.

I guess dyeing it lighter just destroys your hair DNA.. Cuz it detracts the color from your hair. Well, dyeing is just bad haha.

Dark hair always looks shinier :) I am going lighter gradually because my dark hair fades so fast but I know what you mean! I need to keep my ends trimmed or they look dry and tangle easily.

It's because when you hair is lighter like blonde your cuticle is blown open the darker your hair is the more closed you hair cuticle is which make it look and feel softer and more healthy I'm study this at school :)

The darker the hair the more melanin that is in the core of the cuticle...and your cuticle being open or closed has nothing to do with color, when you use something with a warmer temperature (water, styling appliance, etc) your cuticle will open up...anything with a cooler temperature (water, letting your hair cool down after styling) your cuticle will close. When you color your hair your cuticle is opened up due to a chemical reaction, pretty much forcing it open. I know these things because I am a licensed cosmetologist.
