Thick brows = small eyes?

So in the past I have been told by my hair dresser (who is an older Asian lady - my aunt actually..) that thicker brows make my eyes look smaller - and since I'm Asian with slanted eyes I took her advice for so many years - but now a days its so popular to have thick well endowed brows so I'm trying to grow them and fill them in more... but now I'm wondering if it really does make my eyes look smaller... what do you ladies think!? do thicker brows make for smaller eyes?

Yah I feel like there is a thin line between just right and too thick when I already have small eyes - I guess I need to find that right balance for my face - but thanks ladies!
